Taylor Velazquez, MSN, BSN, RN, CLNC is the Founder of Ungelbach & Associates, bringing more than 20 years of experience across direct patient care, surgical services, nursing leadership, nursing informatics, quality management, regulatory compliance, electronic medical records, healthcare technology, and hospital operations.
Throughout her career, Taylor has been driven by a passion for improving healthcare. Whether leading quality initiatives, supporting regulatory compliance, implementing healthcare technology, or evaluating clinical documentation and workflows, her focus has always been the same: improving processes, promoting patient safety, and helping healthcare teams deliver high-quality care. She believes the best outcomes are achieved through collaboration, where diverse perspectives and expertise come together to solve complex problems and support informed decision-making.
Taylor earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan, building the clinical foundation for a career dedicated to improving patient care and healthcare systems. As her career evolved, she developed a passion for process improvement, electronic medical records, healthcare technology, and clinical documentation. Building on years of practical experience, she returned to graduate school to earn a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics, further expanding her understanding of the intersection between clinical practice, technology, and information management. This combination of clinical experience and informatics expertise provides a unique perspective on healthcare systems, clinical documentation, and the medical record itself.
Today, Taylor brings that same commitment to professionalism, integrity, and objective analysis to the medical-legal field. Her diverse background offers a systems-level perspective on complex medical records, clinical documentation, and healthcare operations, helping bridge the gap between healthcare and law through clear, clinically sound insight.
